I’ll be performing with my Level 3 cohort at Brooklyn Comedy Collective’s Eris in our class show on April 20 at 8:30 pm! We’ll be downstairs in the Deep Space room.
In this Advanced Scenes class, our instructor Philip Markle has presented improv techniques and awareness-building tools to create more grounded and authentic characters. Philip offered us methods to play with three-person scenes and the curveball technique to keep scenes fresh, engaging and unexpected, and I loved the weekly practice in trusting one’s body and brain to deliver stories. I know that I will be leaving this class with a refreshed wellspring of inspiration for future characters and many new connections with fellow improv lovers.
